We welcome exhibit entries from all ages and from all communities. Come on out and join the competition!
Rules & Regulations
- No claim for injury to any person or property shall ever be asserted nor suit instituted or maintained against the Fair Board, its officers and members, or agents by or on behalf of any visitor or any person, firm or corporation or their agents, representative or employee, having licence or privilege to exhibit in the area or occupy any space thereon.
- Before preparing your exhibits for entry be sure to read the prize list carefully, & follow the instructions therein. Each entry will be entered under the class number chosen by the exhibitor as recorded on the entry form.
- Please complete the enclosed entry form attached to your fair list, if possible with entries from all the family. All entry fees paid at the grounds on fair day, except horses. No entries accepted unless accompanied by an entry form. Exhibitors are responsible for their own errors or omissions and those of their agents in the preparation of entry forms.
- ENTRIES WILL BE TAKEN ON FRIDAY FROM 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (other than livestock – see each livestock section for possible different times). Judging will be Saturday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Exhibits will then be open to viewing from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm Saturday and from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Sunday. Entries MUST be picked up at 4:00 pm Sunday. Any bench entries left after 5:00 pm on Sunday will be disposed of and all ribbons and prize money will be donated back to the Fair.
- All exhibits shall be under the control and direction of the Fair Board but solely at the risk of the exhibitor. The Fair Board will not be responsible for damage, injury, loss or theft. Each exhibitor will be solely responsible for any loss, injury or damage arising from any animal or article exhibited by him, and for its description as given in the Fair Book and shall indemnify the Fair Board against all legal or other proceedings in regard thereto.
- ALL EXHIBITS MUST REMAIN ON THE GROUNDS UNTIL 4:00 P.M. the Sunday of the fair unless permission has otherwise been granted by the Fair Board. This will be strictly adhered to and prize money will be with-held in the case of any infraction of this rule.
- Only one entry will be allowed each exhibitor in any class other than livestock.
- Only bedding and water will be supplied for all livestock exhibited.
- Children, 15 years and under, entering Junior Exhibits are not required to pay an entry fee, but if they wish to enter in senior classes they are subject to the class entry fee.
- All exhibits must be grown or manufactured by the exhibitor, & the article to be correctly named & properly labelled. All items must be made since the last fair.
- No prize awarded if the exhibit is not of sufficient merit.
- The Fair Board may not pay regular prize money in classes that have special prizes and/or sponsorship.
- The Executive reserves the right to substitute good-in-kind instead of cash prizes.
- All judges decisions to be accepted as final. Aggregate points are totalled on 3 points for 1st, 2 points for 2nd and 1 point for 3rd placing, except in horses and pets.
- Judges may not exhibit in the section in which they have been invited to judge.
- In case of insufficient funds, prize money will be pro-rated.
- All credit vouchers to be presented to the donors within 30 days or they will not be valid.
- A person who has a domestic animal shall dispose of excrement from that domestic animal in a manner and at a location where the excrement will not cause a public inconvenience or annoyance.
- All persons shall restrain a domestic animal by a leash not longer than two meters.
- No riding horses in the fairgrounds, only in the riding arenas.
- For the safety of our animals and exhibitors no dogs are permitted on the fairgrounds unless registered to compete or a service animal.
- No unauthorized offroad vehicles allowed on the fairgrounds.
